It is rare that a player has so much passion for the club that he plays with his heart, not his mind on the money. We often see players from supposed 'smaller' clubs leave because of money or ambition. But this bloke is special. He plays with his heart for the club he loves since he was a kid - Robbie Fowler.
I am obviously overjoyed by the fact that Fowler got signed for another season. With more time to build on his fitness, he is ready to show us what passion can do. Indeed he has already turned in great performances with the club before, but now he would be even hungier because he was given the second chance, and you can tell immediately how much it means to him.
I've always said that he is the reason I wear the number 9 jersey on my back. The Kop hero is back! All the best, Robbie!
