The last Premiership weekend has just concluded. And when I said on the last day it is hard to predict anything, I was right. I had 5 right and 5 wrong. Though some of the wrongs were really close.
Arsenal VS Wigan
I predicted a home win and indeed. But it was no surprise I guess. I did say it would be high-scoring, but I didn't expect 6 goals either.
Villa VS Sunderland
Villa just scraped this one. It was close at 2-1. But since I predicted a low-score draw, I'm wrong for this one.
Blackburn VS Man City
Blackburn would win comfortable I said. And Man City would just have to hope for a better next season.
Bolton VS Birmingham
I predicted a narrow home win. I was spot on with Bolton winning 1-0. It doesn't get more accurate than that.
Everton VS West Brom
I got this one wrong. I predicted a narrow home win. Turned out to narrowly be a draw. I was wrong about West Brom, but it was cruel they lost their 3 points with minutes to go.
Fulham VS Boro
I thought this game would be high-scoring, but it was not to be with Middlesborough fielding a second-string side. And with Captain Boa Morte injured, it turned out to be a narrow home victory.
Man United VS Charlton
I said comfortable home win, and it doesn't get more comfortable than 4-0. It was no surprises really, hats off to them for stamping their authority on second spot. Who needs Rooney anyway?
Newcastle VS Chelsea
Party mood indeed took it's toll on Chelsea, and wih the Champions fielding a second string team, they proved that a 2.38 odds on a Chelsea win would be too good to be true.
Portsmouth VS Liverpool
Liverpool did all it can to fight for second, but it was not to be with the victory by Manchester United. But a 3-1 win here still earned me money on my bets.
West Ham VS Tottenham
It was quite unbelievable, but West Ham actually won this one. I would have thought they would rest players for the FA Cup final. But looks like they fielded their FA Cup final side other than Marlon Harewood. A surprise win for me to prove me wrong. And it let the gunners take 4th. Quite incredible indeed.
